What better way to celebrate a milestone anniversary then by going on a romantic cruise with your spouse. I have friends who will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary and are marking the occasion with a luxurious cruise to the Caribbean.
If you are celebrating an anniversary or any other special occasion, the best way to insure getting cheap prices is to book your trip as far in advance as possible. My friends, who are taking the Caribbean cruise for their anniversary, have been planning their trip for quite awhile. As soon as the cruise line allowed reservations to be made, which turned out to be a year in advance, they jumped on it and were able to get their first choice pick for accommodations.
In addition to getting a large variety of choices regarding cabin selection, they were also able to take advantage of a very affordable vacation package. Personally, I find it difficult to plan things too far in advance; however, with a landmark anniversary or other special occasion, it’s best to plan ahead in order to get the cheapest prices and the most lucrative deals.
Typically, the outside cabins with balconies are the rooms that get booked first. Some travelers are indifferent to the type of cabins they book, and often they reserve the rooms with the lowest price. However, by booking a year or more in advance, you might be able to have your cake and eat it too. For an anniversary cruise, nothing will top having a private balcony to share with your loved one. Think of the romantic evenings you can enjoy by booking a cabin with a balcony and a gorgeous view of ocean. And of course, by booking early, you will get the best price available.
Certain times of year tend to sell faster than others. Obviously, these dates include Christmas and New Years, Spring Break and the summer season from July through September. If your anniversary or special occasion falls during those specific time periods, it would be particularly wise for you to book your trip as early as possible. Depending upon the cruise line, you can usually book your cruise at least a year in advance. Be sure to check out the individual cruise line websites for deals, deadlines and special offers.
Not only will an early booking for your anniversary cruise insure the best choice of cabin, you will also be able to take advantage of shore excursion deals and other special amenities that the cruise line provides. Once in awhile, we all deserve to pamper ourselves, and if you are able to plan a year or more in advance, this anniversary cruise will be a special romantic memory for you and your loved one.
