When asked where they would most like to go, many travelers often have Hawaii at the top of their list of places they want to see. Unfortunately, Hawaii also happens to be a series of islands 2000 miles from the US coast which means it is a very expensive place to travel to making it a destination that many people never get to see. Most people assume that in order to enjoy a vacation to the Hawaiian Islands, they will need to book a return flight with one of the major airlines which can cost thousands of dollars on top of the cost of accommodations, meals and entertainment which can also be costly on the islands. When confronted with these high costs, many would-be tourists just forget the idea of traveling to Hawaii and book travel elsewhere. Fortunately, there is one other way that you can enjoy a Hawaiian vacation that is overlooked by people wanting to go there and it is cheap too; a Hawaiian cruise and Hawaiian cruises can be cheap cruises too!
A Hawaiian cruise is not only a cheaper way to see Hawaii but it is also the best way to see multiple islands in one trip. A typical Hawaiian cruise will take you to as many as seven ports on several different islands and you will have the opportunity to discover these ports either through various tours offered through your ship or on your own for one or two days before moving on to the next. Of course Honolulu will be a stop on any Hawaiian cruise but you also may make stops at popular destinations like Hilo, Kaua’I, Molokai’s and Maui. Some of the landmarks and sites that you can visit include Pearl Harbour, Waikiki Beach, the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Haleakala Crater and the art galleries of Lahaina. You can also visit the many fish markets, street markets and restaurants or you can spend the day basking in the sun on one of Hawaii’s many long sandy beaches that make it one of the world’s top beach destinations!
Of course, in order to see everything you want to see, you will need to do a lot of research to ensure that you are embarking on a cruise that will allow you to see these things as all cruises are different. Most cruises offer pretty much the same amenities when it comes to food and entertainment. Most cruises have live music, swimming pools, gyms and many other things that you can enjoy when not in port.
You will also need to do a lot of research to ensure you are getting the best price for your budget but here is a sample of some cruise companies that offer cheap cruises to Hawaii:
1) Norwegian Cruise Line offers a ten-day Hawaiian cruise that includes a two-night stay in a Honolulu hotel with complimentary breakfast and a Honolulu city tour and tour of Pearl Harbour. Prices for this cruise are as low as $1200.00.
