Ports of Call on Cheap Cruises – Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas has become one of the most popular ports of call on Southern California and Mexican Riviera cruises. Seen as a party town with a large American population, Cabo has the seemingly required cruise port staple of duty free stores and cheap souvenir stands, but if you are willing to explore a little deeper there are plenty of interesting options to take up your time on shore.

One of the reasons that Cabo found itself on the tourist map in the first place was the sport fishing that the area offers. If fishing is your thing then there are a number of private charter companies that will take groups of cruisers on day trips to fishing spots where you can try to reel in a marlin for the catch of your life. Though not guaranteed many of these companies have an outstanding success rate in landing huge fish as the area is so full of marine life.

The white sand beaches in Cabo are fantastic to just relax on but the waters are so clear and so full of life than snorkeling and scuba diving are very popular pursuits for cruise goers. Half day trips will take you to the only coral reef on the West Coast of the USA where you can swim among the tropical fish. Another great way to see the area is on a pirate ship adventure which takes you by sea lion covered rocks before a snorkel adventure and lunch on the way back to land.

Everyone has seen movies with horses galloping down the beach with water spraying out behind them. On your cheap cruise in Cabo you can try this for yourself as there are a number of companies who offer this adventure. Whether you have never been on a horse before or were born on a saddle there are packages for people of all levels of experience. What better way to spend the day than feel the wind blowing in your hair and the gentle mist of the water coming off of the ocean.

If you prefer your horsepower to be more mechanical than natural, you may enjoy some of the other beach activities that are on offer in Cabo. From Dune Buggies to ATVs to Yamaha Rhino’s there are plenty of vehicle options for thrill seekers to pilot on the beaches. Each has its own advantages from the dune buggies sheer sense of speed and adventure to the Rhino which you can drive through desert trails to the Cliffside.

One thing that is certain is that whichever excursion you choose to take on your cheap cruise in Cabo San Lucas you will want to come back soon to try out another!
